Champion Chevrolet is seeking an experienced New and Used Vehicle Contract/Title Administrator to join our team.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Processes new and used vehicles in accounting
- Creates trade jackets
- Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled
- Prepares tax and title documents
- Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications
- Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins
- Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work
- Signs over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full
- Prepares a monthly report to management of any funds not collected from wholesalers due to missing or incomplete title work
- Stays abreast of title regulations. Attends seminars held by local licensing bureaus and any available training on title regulations
- Prepares sales commissions
- Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities
- Issues a written memo to managers and all sales personnel whenever regulations change
- Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
The ideal candidate for this position will exhibit a working knowledge of DMV and title regulations and will possess excellent organizational and time-management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work diligently and consistently to complete assigned job duties, all while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Dealership and/or car title processing a must. Compensation will be based on a combination of relevant knowledge and experience.
