Chevy’s Equinox EV is an all-electric, compact crossover SUV. According to Chevrolet, this vehicle will go on sale in 2023, likely in the fall. The Equinox EV may carry the familiar Equinox name, but the EV models are brand-new first-generation vehicles. Here at Champion Chevrolet in Reno, we’re excited about this upcoming new, all-electric vehicle.

The Powertrain

The Chevy Equinox EV will be powered by an Ultium lithium-ion battery. There’s no need to worry about running out of juice while cruising around Minden. Base models will have a range of approximately 250 miles, while higher trim levels will extend this to around 300 miles.

Every trim level will offer DC quick-charge capabilities. Chevrolet states that the vehicle should only take around 10 minutes of charging time to reach a range of 70 miles. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be available for all models.

Trim Levels and Interior Space

There will be four different models of the Chevy Equinox EV for buyers near Gardnerville to choose from. If you’re looking for a good bargain in Carson City, the base model 1LT trim offers plenty of bang for your buck. If you’re looking for top performance on the roads around Susanville, the 2LT, 3LT, and RS trims offer 290 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque.

All models will offer plenty of cargo space and room for up to five passengers to ride comfortably. There will be around 57.2 cubic feet of storage space in the back, including the rear-seat area. The rear seats can be folded down flat to reach the maximum cargo capacity.
